When compared to Aleppo Pepper, red pepper flakes lose every, single time. Aleppo Pepper infuses so much more flavor and spice than I have ever achieved with flakes. I discovered Aleppo about a year ago and I have tossed all of my flakes and will never go back.
This brand is fresh and flavorful. The bag is resealable but I have lots of red pepper bottles to put it in;)

We just LOVE this pepper powder (or flakes depending upon how you would describe it)! As we’ve gotten older, we keep adding more and more spice to our foods and this packet has been wonderful to add to things like chicken marinades/sauces and vegetables. It adds a wonderful peppery, spicey flavor. I use a lot of harissa paste in most of the dishes I make and I find that in dishes where I might not want to use the harissa, this pepper spice is perfect. It’s fantastic for BBQ rubs, particularly for pork, beef, and poultry. I make our own pulled pork in the instant pot and have added these ground pepper flakes to our custom rub that I use before putting the pork chunks in the instant pot and the depth of flavor and spiciness is absolutely wonderful. I really couldn’t ask for more.

First time user so I can’t compare it to any other brand chili( so that’s why 4 stars only) . It’s mild to low medium heat which is comfortable for me. I’m in belief if it’s too hot spicy you’re not enjoying the actual taste of what you’re eating. Having to guess if it’s chicken or pork because it’s so hot spicy is not my idea of using your taste buds to detect what meat it is because it’s far too hot spicy to taste the meat. This is pleasant and doesn’t interfere with your taste buds! So for now I recommend this brand .

I like to make some Turkish dishes quite often and always missed on this pepper, flake and now that I have it, my own dishes are delicious and complete.
It’s hard to judge heat level because I am someone who enjoys very spicy food however, I think that it would be considered a medium heat level. You don’t need a lot so it’s good value for your money.
