Love this spice

Got this spice to make pumpkin cake. When you open it it does not overwhelm you, but you get its aroma once it is baking. Kitchen smelled so nice and warm. I have never used this brand before but it is subtle and cake turned out super tasty! Having a slice while warm with home made cream cheese and a nice cappuccino in front of a lit cosy fireplace in a fall lazy weekend morning is the best thing ever!!!

Very flavorful, not overpowering at all.

This is a relatively high quality and fresh product and likely better than what you can get easily from other sources. However, it's not the highest grade Aleppo pepper, what Turkish people call İpek (silk) pul biber, where the ribs (the spiciest part) are removed during processing. As a result, it's somewhat spicier and less fruity than İpek pul biber.

Delivery was on time. Good size pouch. If you want to bottle it, you would need a fairly large spice bottle.

Not terrible but the one I used to use had a different medley of spices that my kids like better. This has chili so i have to be careful when cooking for them.

It’s a nice mix of ingredients that work well together and deliver a full taste that enhances any dish that it’s added to. I like using this to spice my chicken and meats that get air fried for my family meals. I like that the spice mix contains a hint of cinnamon which isn’t something I typically add to food when cooking (I use cinnamon in treats or baked goods), so it’s nice to have that flavor profile in savory food.

[Amazon Vine review, product received free] Edi Gourmet Spice Ras el Hanout arrived at a fortuitous time - I have recently also picked up a jar of preserved lemon and so together with some other pantry items and veggies, I found myself with all of the ingredients to make a tagine.Opening the package I was struck by the amazing aroma of all of the warm spices in the blend - certainly "Top of the Shelf" as the name translates to.I used a generous tablespoon of the blend and bloomed it in oil before adding onions and garlic. I won't belabour this review with the recipe I used, but it ended up in a tagine full of veggies, chickpeas, some dried fruit, olives and the preserved lemon... and thanks to this Ras el Hanout, it was delicious.I can't wait to try other recipes and even simple things like tossing it on roasted vegetables for an added kick.I appreciate the generous amount in the sachet, which importantly is resealable and has a long best before date.Delicious and an easy recommendation.

It’s fresh tasting and easy to scoop out of the pack and dissolve into my shawarma mix. The pack that it comes in, is resealable so the contents can be resealed to preserve freshness. Very tasty and easy to use for DIY shawarma that tastes original.

I used it for a lamb tagine with apricots and it created an incredibly deep, complex flavor profile. The initial aroma when blooming it in oil was fantastic, warm and earthy, with the subtle sweetness of Ceylon cinnamon and a hint of floral rose coming through. It's potent, so a little goes a long way, and I appreciate that all the spices are clearly listed, with no hidden fillers or salt. It made the tagine taste like it came from a specialty restaurant.
