A friend in Ontario send me small sample of this blend from a place in her city. It was ridiculous how much mailing it to Nova Scotia from there was going to be. So, I went to Amazon and found this one. Not the same as the other one, actually better. I've been putting it in everything and am almost out. So went to order more, then discovered it's made in Bedford. Placing an order now, along with a few other things.
I’ve been using this in my homemade lattes and it adds a warm, cozy flavour. It mixes well and gives that classic fall taste without being too sweet. I don’t use a lot, and even a small pinch adds a nice touch. Definitely something I’ll keep around and experiment with for other baking endeavors.
Once fall is here and leaves are starting to fall, i turn into this crazy-fall-lady, and I pull out all of my plaid shirts and anything pumpkin-scented. I also love love to add spices to my recipes, and I love baking the occasional pumpkin pie and making my own Pumpkin Spice Lattes at home, and this is where this delicious blend of spices comes into action.
This smells absolutely divine, and it has all of the necessary spices you need to create your favorite fall recipes : cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, etc. No other bad ingredients, just spices ! The spice are well blended so you can integrated them to any recipe as well.
I also love that you get this huge bag, I'll have enough for a few seasons ! Overall, this is a really nice, well-made spice blend.
Spices for pumpkin pie, not pumpkin flavored.
A bigger sized bag of pumpkin spice for all the ladies obsessed with making pumpkin spice lattes and pumpkin chais from their kitchen this one’s for you I bought mine and I’m so glad I did now I can make as many pumpkin chais this fall as I please and it always tastes delicious!
I have been using this delicious blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and all spice to add that familiar fall flavour to my morning coffee. It's vegetarian and vegan-friendly, too!
A little goes a long way with this spice mixture. You won't need to add very much to get a good, strong taste in coffee or hot chocolate! Use it any time you like to treat yourself!
This pumpkin spice smells and tastes amazing in baking and coffee.
I find that it helps to grind it a bit finer with the spice grinder when using it in drinks, because it can have a bit of a gritty texture that detracts from the experience. In baked goods, you don't notice this at all so it can be used as is.
I really like that it is vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free so I can use it in recipes for people with food sensitivities without worrying.
We used it to make muffins, and it certainly added a nice flavor to them, although not quite strong enough to be the primary flavor. However, I happen to like big tastes, so for others that liek some subtly this would be perfect. Good stuff
This spice is awesome. It is great value for the amount you get and I've already found so many uses! It tastes great in pancakes, French toast, and muffins and really adds the smell (and taste!) of fall into your home year round.
I really reccomend this to all pumpkin spice lovers and bakers! It's great
This is quite good in coffee, does remind me of PSLs, not exactly the same ofc but it's a nice taste and aroma especially.
This pumpkin spice mixture has a fantastic mix of flavours sure to bring you right into fall. The cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and all spice bring forward a familiar warmth in whatever you are baking. This original pumpkin spice in ground incredibly fine so it is easily used in anything. This product is Gluten free, Lactose free and is Vegan which means almost anyone can enjoy it!
The spice comes in a packet that can be resealed using the zipper lock, but unfortunately, the packets was slightly melted during the packing process, so it will need to be moved into a separate bottle. Would have been nice if it came in a bottle vs packet so this wouldn’t have happened and would have allowed for easier dispensing, so better QC is needed.
The spice smells amazing. Exactly like pumpkin pie from the stores.
Added a tablespoon of the spice to my pancake mix (1 cup) and the taste of the pancakes didn’t taste like the scent. It had some spiciness to it, but that pumpkin spice smell did not come through, which was disappointing. It’s possible I didn’t add enough, but it was enough to make the pancakes a deep brown colour.
Overall, the spice smells great, but the taste was not the same as the smell. I’ve had pumpkin pie before from the store and that had more of the taste. It’s possible I didn’t use enough or used too much as this was the first time using it. I would have liked if the spice came in a re-sealable glass/metal container vs the packet as the heat-sealing process from the factory did ruin the zipper lock so the bag can’t be sealed after opening.
At the time of this review, the spice was priced at $12.99.
No issues here. This is a nice aromatic pumpkin spice. I could see some getting frustrated with the bag as it does reseal, but, with a fight. I just placed it in an airtight container and called it a day. However the spice itself was nice
This blend smells and tastes great; the cinnamon and nutmeg mix just right. I add it to my morning oatmeal for a cozy boost. The resealable bag keeps the flavor fresh. Perfect for anytime of year.
It was great timing when this showed up on Vine - as my daughters had been bugging me for weeks to get some pumpkin pie spice, but none of the local grocery stores had any. They use it all the time for various coffee drinks and baking. I'm happy to say this was exactly as expected - probably better than any I've bought from the grocery store. It's got that signature pumpkin pie smell to it, and tastes awesome. Great find!
I don’t find it is exactly the blend I would prefer but it is convenient to have as a single mix. It came properly sealed with good dating, but the zipper seal does not fully close, and I needed to put it in another seal bag so that it would not go stale being open all the time. A large amount that will last a while for sure.
I have used this spice blender in cake, muffins and oatmeal. Its delicious. Potent spices. If you like it strong, put more.
Tastes and smells fresh.
The only thing that I found odd was I found "string" like fibers in throughout the package. I am assuming these are the ginger hair fibers. I didnt like that. I ended up dumping out the package onto a paper and sitting through it to be certain there wasn't any that could end up in my food incase it was not ginger hair fibers.
Overall, great spice blend, natural and delicious.
This blend contains a good ratio of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves and allspice, saving me from buying and measuring individual spices. I tested this on a batch of pumpkin cookies with white chocolate and orange zest, and they were really GOOD! The resealable packaging keeps the spices fresh between uses. This mix contains only natural spices with no fillers or preservatives. Beyond baking, you can sprinkle some of this in your coffee or milk tea at home and save yourself some $.
Love the taste of it in my coffee & muffins.
I love this blend! It tastes just like pumpkin spice and smells very fragrant. Perfect for baking or adding to lattes. Reminds me of autumn.
I Love Autumn for the slight cooler breeze in the air, the leaves falling down, Halloween, and Pumpkin Spice Latte's of course.
When I saw this I just couldn't resist. Product is plant-based, veggy, gluten / lactose free. Doesn't have artificial flavour / color, and non-GMO.
Basically, this product checked all the boxes for me. Came in re-sealable packaging. I did have the hardest time to open it properly at first, but once I figured where the seal was it was fine.
I made myself about half a dozen pumpkin spice latte's so far, and the taste is absolutely amazing. The powder doesn't dissolve completely, mostly due to the coarse grind of some of the spices. I hate when there's particles floating in my coffee, but being from this pumpkin spice mix it ended up perfectly fine. Just know that if your intention is to spice up your coffee, it'll add an earthy feel to it.
I could see this mix being used for baking. The taste and smell is pretty strong, should make tasty cookies, pie, and stuff.
The only thing that makes me sad about this product is that I'll be done using it before Autumn comes. But seriously though, if you like pumpkin spice and prefer healthy alternatives, this product is for you.
A perfectly balanced, classic fall flavor. If you prefer stronger spice notes, you might find it a bit mild, but it’s easy to boost for your taste.
Edi Gourmet Spice Pumpkin Spice is a nice little combination since I end up using all the individual ingredients during my fall baking. I think it is a little low on cinnamon or it is really overpowered by the all spice because that is mostly what I taste. It does taste fresh though and it beats replenishing individual ingredients although I will definitely be adding more cinnamon to my recipe. For now though I am loving it in my morning latte!
Good quality, smells greats and it's very tasty added to food or drinks. You don't need much to impart a nice pumpkin/cinnamon flavour into your food. I mixed it into some plain yoghourt and enjoyed a nice pumpkin dessert.
It's also good mixed into coffee if you like pumpkin spice hot beverages as I do.
I took off a point for the packaging which took a while and a lot of careful cutting to get into without destroying the ziplock style closure. Other than that, I'd definitely purchase more once I've used this all up.
