This is pretty good peppermint. The aroma when the bag is opened is very nice, and the flavor when used to brew tea is a bright and peppy mint. The flavor is strong enough that it can be used in combination with other herbal teas to add a nice kick of mint to the taste.
The leaves are crushed to a variety of sizes ranging from small pieces to dust. I prefer a more uniform and larger size for making tea to make it easier to strain. This is very workable as a tea, but you do need to use a fine mesh strainer or there will be a good amount of sediment at the bottom of the cup.
Five stars for taste, aroma and freshness; 3 stars for the crush level; overall rating of 4 stars. It’s not the best peppermint I’ve come across, but a solid 4 star performer and a decent value for the price.

I have to say that a 3 oz bag of peppermint leaves doesn’t seem like it would be a lot…but it is! I made some peppermint tea with these leaves and it was delicious…I could sit and drink this for hours.
The leaves are, however, really finely crushed. So even though I use a mesh strainer tea ball I got a lot of peppermint dust floating/settling in the cup.
The package was also difficult to open. I did the ‘easy open’ tab and still had to trim it back further (very carefully) with a scissors to get to the resealable strip. So far it’s resealing but it’s still hard to re-open so I don’t know if this will last or I’ll have to find another container to keep it airtight.

This makes a good peppermint tea. But you will want to use a tea bag because it is finely ground for tea – it is more of a culinary grind. I like this blended with chamomile for an evening tea before bed.

These peppermint leave are very aromatic. When you open the bag, you get a wave of pure peppermint. It really smells fresh and potent. These leaves also make a great tasting cup of tea. The leaves are crushed (no big pieces), but they were large enough to stay in my paper tea bags (no loose fragments floating around). But on the plus side the tiny pieces of leaves worked great in my peppermint infused shortbread cookies. Normally I have to crush up the tea leaves before I put in my shortbread, but these leaves were the perfect size for baking. Peppermint shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate with crushed peppermint candies on top. Yum.

At first, I thought that this bag was awfully small but when I opened it and the fragrance wafted out…
This is wonderful smelling and it tastes even better. This makes the best drinking water every. I don’t have to add any sweeteners at all. I have been making a lot of herbal waters and some of them (like cumin) aren’t the best-tasting. I can now drink my cumin water for better sleep without gagging. I only have to add 1 part of the peppermint water for every 2 parts of the cumin water.
The is a great price for the freshness and flavor.
When I buy teas, for some reason I feel the need to add sweetener and I always get another hint of some other flavor that isn’t pleasant. Just steeping this in boiled water and letting it cool before I refrigerate it has helped step up my water game. I can chug this with no problem.
If the price stays this reasonable, I will be getting more of this.

Compared to the last batch I had from a different brand, this peppermint smells stronger/fresher. I hope it stays that way for long. Use by date says 2025. Perfect! I wish I can subscribe to this and hope price stays reasonable.
